Virident's Server-Side Flash Solution, FlashMAX, to Be Showcased in Two Sessions at VMworld(R) 2012

MILPITAS, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 08/22/12 -- Virident Systems, a performance leader in flash-based storage class memory (SCM) solutions, today announced that its FlashMAX™ server-side flash solution will be showcased in two sessions at VMworld® 2012 in San Francisco, Calif. The sessions will include a description of the test environment and equipment and samples of actual test results. The sessions will take place on Monday, Aug. 27 at 11:00 a.m. and Thursday, Aug. 30 at 12:30 p.m.
Virident's flash storage was chosen for its performance scalability and simple integration with VMware View®. In addition, its performance offered the ability to quickly access virtual desktops as well as the data and applications stored in them, reducing I/O bottlenecks, and thus optimizing performance. Validation for the VMware View Reference Architecture was performed in a lab environment simulating concurrent user virtual desktop environment and executing a realistic desktop workload. With validated architectures, customers can have confidence that a virtual desktop environment can be efficiently implemented and that it will perform as expected.
