David Poltack is a Managing Director and serves as Chief Financial Officer. David is responsible for all finance and administration functions of the firm including financial reporting, human resources, facilities, IT and investor relations. He brings financial management expertise from his work with venture-backed and newly public technology companies.
David serves on the boards of Analogix, Credit Sesame and Nantero. He previously served on the board of MarketLive (acquired by Vista Equity Partners).
Prior to Globespan, David Poltack was with TVM Capital, a global venture capital firm with offices in Munich and Boston, as a General Partner within the firm’s corporate finance group and Vice President of Finance. His responsibilities included the oversight of Boston's financial, IT and administrative functions. As a member of the corporate finance team, David worked closely with the life sciences and technology teams concentrating on all corporate finance matters including performing financial and legal due diligence on potential portfolio companies, coordinating term sheets and legal documents, monitoring investments, structuring and coordinating acquisitions and mergers and preparing portfolio companies for Initial Public Offerings. David served on the board of several TVM portfolio companies and was a board observer to numerous others.
Prior to TVM Capital, he was a manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers where he focused on venture capital and life science industries.
David is on the board of the Private Equity CFO Association in Boston and serves as the Treasurer of TiE's Boston Chapter, a not for profit organization promoting entrepreneurship. David earned a bachelor degree in Accountancy, with honors, from Boston College, an MBA, with honors, from Suffolk University and is a Certified Public Accountant. David lives in Boston with his wife and two children. He enjoys exercising, playing golf and traveling.
