Verisign Deploys Bladelogic

Data center automation software provider BladeLogic (bladelogic.com) announced on Friday that intelligent infrastructure services provider VeriSign (verisign.com) has selected it to provide continuous configuration management and compliance assurance to support server and application infrastructure.
VeriSign has previously used several point tools and in-house software solutions to manage its server and application environments.
BladeLogic says its Operations Manager enables VeriSign to use one solution to automate data center processes, including the discovery and detailed inventory of servers and applications, the provisioning of the OS and the entire software stack, the deployment of complex application updates and the continuous compliance of server configurations to corporate and regulatory policies.
"VeriSign recognizes the critical role a data center automation solution serves in developing and executing a strong security and compliance strategy," says Mark Gathje, VP of systems engineering for VeriSign. "BladeLogic will provide us with greater visibility and control over our assets, enable compliance with corporate and regulatory policies, and support ever better enterprise standardization."
